Casa Caribe Bed & Breakfast | Avenida Roja Gomez 768 | Puerto Morelos, MX | + 52 998 251 8060
Casa Caribe is a funky hacienda-style building originally built as a dive destination hotel, now transformed into a bed and breakfast for all. The large terrace welcomes visitors with calmness and fresh ocean breezes. Visitors love that Casa Caribe is just opposite the wide white sand beach and is only 5 minutes from the town square and all the restaurants in Puerto Morelos. Guests can relax in their private terrace, rock in their hammock, or lounge on the communal terrace.
A Mexican style breakfast, designed by Chef Cristobal of The Little Mexican Cooking School, is served on the terrace making a great start to your day of adventures or just lying around.
The five large rooms in Casa Caribe were given a facelift in 2011 and offer King size beds with lounge chairs and small refrigerator (for your drinks) and coffeemaker in case you can’t wait for breakfast. All new linen and beds help make this seaside experience exceptional, especially as we try to keep the prices very reasonable. Each room has a private terrace with hammock and view to the ocean and its own bathroom with vintage tiles and new fittings.

Originally the port was built to ship out chicle (the magic ingredients in chewing gum) to the rest of the world and a town grew up around the farming and shipping business at the turn of the last century. Nowadays, Puerto Morelos is a seaside village with an ever-growing population, mainly occupied with tourism. There is also a large expat community of many nations adding to the variety of the town. The community is strong and united in its desire to keep Puerto Morelos small and not as commercial as its closest neighbours Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
Puerto Morelos is ideally situated only 15 minutes south of Cancun’s busy international airport and within easy access of the region’s many and varied natural attractions, including the Grand Mayan Reef which lies just offshore and is a Maritime Reserve.
The town is said to have a spirit of its own, accepting some people and not others. Puerto Morelos exerts a strange pull over some people – be careful you may never leave. For more information click HERE.
