The Kearsarge Inn is a modern rendition of a grand hotel. Located in the heart of North Conway in the Mt. Washington Valley of New Hampshire, Kearsarge Inn is the perfect lodging choice whether you seek a romantic weekend getaway, ski package or simply want to enjoy all that North Conway has to offer.
My partner and I stayed at Kearsarge Inn earlier this month and from the second we pulled in the drive we were impressed. The canary yellow exterior was warm and inviting.

Opened in 2003 Kearsarge Inn was billed at North Conway’s first boutique hotel. Recognized as one of the region’s most elegant hotels by Yankee Magazine, each of the inn’s 15 oversized rooms and suites offers king or queen size beds, gas fireplace, Jacuzzi tubs, spacious private bathrooms (with two sinks thank you very much ;-)), and beautiful furnishings. One of my personal favorite touches were the ski posters hanging on the walls and cathedral ceilings.
I also loved that our room had a private balcony. I was lucky to take in a gorgeous sunset the night of our arrival.

Another fantastic feature of Kearsarge Inn is the location! You can walk to dozens of boutique shops like the famous Zeb’s General Store and North Conway’s most popular restaurant, Horsefeather’s, in North Conway Village. And if you are looking to do some bargain shopping, you are only a mile away from Settlers’ Green Outlet Center featuring 60 outlet stores such as Eddie Bauer, Gap and Banana Republic!

Kearsarge Inn is inspired by the “great ladies” of the grand hotels of the early 1900’s. In 2002 restoration began on the Inn in an 1800’s village residence.
It is the perfect blend of old and new.
The inn has been decorated with the finest beds and linens, rich period carpeting, classic crown molding, stylish gas fireplaces and beautiful New England antiques.

The inn has a lovely, intimate parlor that provides free tea for guests and a stately porch and verdant gardens.

The Inn’s select rooms are located in the main inn and offer the same luxury styling as the bigger rooms on a smaller, more intimate scale.

Select rooms located in the back cottage are ideal for a weekend adventure or romantic getaway.

Deluxe rooms are spacious rooms located in the main Inn or cottages. Several of the deluxe rooms offer incredible views of surrounding mountains.
You can tour a deluxe room HERE.

Luxury rooms are located in the main inn or cottages. Several of these rooms offer spectacular views of Moat Mountain Range and the village of North Conway. The Cranmore Mountain room offers guests a private balcony deck with views of it’s famous namesake. Take a tour of one of the luxury Jacuzzi rooms HERE.

The Kearsarge Suite is a spectacular penthouse residence. It offers guests a beautiful view of the stately Moat Mountain Range and Cranmore Mountain Ski Resort. Take a tour of the penthouse suite HERE.

The Kearsarge Inn offers some fantastic package deals which can be found here http://www.kearsargeinn.com/great_deals.html and here http://www.kearsargeinn.com/ski-deals.html.

Kearsarge Inn is also an excellent place for a wedding or special event. Click here for more information: http://www.kearsargeinn.com/intimate_weddings.htm.

Random notes: My partner and I found the bed to be extremely comfortable at Kearsarge Inn.
We also loved keeping the fireplace on all night to warm us.
Having two sinks in a bathroom is always a much appreciated luxury. I found the staff to be extremely accommodating and friendly and loved walking around the inn at night and checking out the beautiful antiques in the parlor area.
We also loved how close Main Street was and having a private patio to enjoy the cool night air.

Dining: For dinner we ate at Horsefeather’s, located on Main Street.
Horsefeather’s is one of those type restaurants that locals and tourists flock too. A neighborhood pub/restaurant with plenty of TV’s broadcasting the latest games, a huge bar and delicious food.
The restaurant is open 7 days a week from 11am-to-11pm.

I had thee best Philly Cheese Steak sandwich of my life. There was absolutely no fat on the meat and the sandwich was overflowing and beyond delicious.
It was served with delicious, round, homemade french fries. Such a simple, yet impressive meal.

My partner Jen ordered the equally delicious Balsamic Glazed Chicken Sandwich made with Rome tomatoes, fresh Mozzarella and a light pesto sauce on a baguette.

We watch the Patriots (sadly loose) on their multitude of TV’s and couldn’t stop saying, “OH WOW!” and “YUM!” throughout dinner! 😉

The sandwiches were so big and filling we had to unfortunately skip dessert!

Gay & Lesbian Factor: New Hampshire in general is a very gay & lesbian friendly state. I found Kearsarge Inn to be extremely romantic and a perfect getaway for everyone! The staff was extremely welcoming and eager to have Out & About Travel do a review for the gay & lesbian community. The same applies to Horsefeather’s. This very laid back restaurant with delicious food is a must for anyone visiting the North Conway area. I am hereby “outing” both Kearsarge Inn and Horsefeather’s as LGBT friendly and worthy of our business! 😉

I love North Conway. I love the ski resorts in the area, the scenic drives, the stores & restaurants and the fresh mountain air. I could think of no better place than Kearsarge Inn to stay during your visit. I know I can’t wait to return!
