Farmington Fright Fest (also referred to as ME Fright Fest) is one of Maine’s top seasonal attractions, bringing spine-tingling thrills to the Farmington Fairgrounds.
Running select nights from mid-October through early November, the event delivers not just one scare—but three haunted attractions for a single ticket price.
Haunted Experiences That Linger
Behind those haunted doors lie:
- Mr. Marbles Maze – a twisted clown-themed labyrinth where unsettling illusions and claustrophobic corridors prey on fear itself.
- Blackwater Hall – once a grand estate, now a haunted ruin with dark secrets and tragedies echoing through its halls.
- Granny Grimm’s – a macabre reimagining of fairy tales gone wrong, where familiar stories twist into nightmares.

Dates, Venue & Logistics
- When: The event runs multiple evenings across October 17–18, 24–25, plus October 31, and November 1–2.
- Where: 292 High St, Farmington, ME (Farmington Fairgrounds) — parking available via Maple Ave.
- Hours: Gates typically open ~6:30 PM, with haunt entries beginning ~7:00 PM.
- Tickets & Access: A single ticket grants entry to all three haunted attractions, along with free parking and access to food trucks/vendors.
- Group Rates: Discounted pricing is available for groups of 15 or more when purchasing in advance.
- Accessibility & Policy: The event is wheelchair-accessible. It runs rain or shine.
- Warnings: The attractions are intense—guests are advised not to attend if pregnant, have broken bones, or certain medical conditions.
Family-Friendly & Special Events
Farmington Fright Fest also offers programming for younger guests. On October 31 (2:00 pm–5:00 pm), the event hosts Kids Day, a more gentle, spooky walk-through with games, prizes, and music—less frightening but still fun. They also run a Halloween Home Decorating Challenge open to Maine residents, businesses, and organizations. Participants design spectacular Halloween yard displays, submit photos, and compete for prizes.
