ARTS EDUCATION:

Since the doors to the Straz Center opened in 1987, arts education has been a part of its mission. Functioning under the auspices of the Education Department, the Patel Conservatory strives to make the finest performing arts training available to everyone.

Outreach

Through its programming and educational programs, the Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center shares the performing arts and offers unique and diverse opportunities throughout the Tampa Bay community. We provide performing arts experiences, educational outreaches and enrichment through a variety of programs for educators, families, community partners, and adults.
The Conservatory reaches those otherwise unable to participate by working with community partners and providing free or discounted opportunities to attend performances, dress rehearsals, lectures, talk-backs, master classes and workshops.

For many people, a visit to the Straz Center is impossible. We meet this challenge by “taking the show on the road!” Through our Educational Outreach programs, we provide unique opportunities by opening our doors and sending faculty, staff and visiting performing artists to reach individuals and organizations in the community and teach them how to dream, reach, discover and create. Learn more by clicking HERE.
