Gay Travel Information’s Southern Road Trip!

Hello readers!

It feels so weird, yet oddly enough, GOOD, to be sitting behind my computer again at work.

This past month my wife Jennifer and I were on a media trip of the south reviewing lots of amazing properties, restaurants and attractions that I cannot wait to share with you all!

Upcoming reviews include:

  • Hilton Garden Inn Richmond, VA
  • Hyatt Regency Savannah, GA
  • Buena Vista Palace Orlando, FL
  • Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa Fort Lauderdale, FL
  • Casa Marina Resort Key West, FL
  • Orchard Key Inn Key West, FL
  • Casa Morada Islamorada, FL
  • The Betsy Miami, FL
  • Four Seasons Miami, FL
  • Ramada Beach Resort Fort Walton Beach / Destin, FL
  • International House Hotel New Orleans, LA
  • Loews Vanderbilt Hotel Nashville, TN
  • Hotel Indigo Nashville, TN
  • Mai Kai Tiki Restaurant Fort Lauderdale, FL
  • Serendipity 3 Restaurant Miami, FL
  • Mulate’s Cajun Restaurant New Orleans, LA
  • Loveless Cafe Nashville, TN
  • Country Music Hall of Fame Nashville, TN
  • CMT Music Awards Nashville, TN
  • And more!!

We live in absolutely beautiful country and for as much slack the south gets for being not “as open” as the East and West coasts, I can honestly say we experienced nothing but warm, southern hospitality and open arms. I didn’t experience ANYTHING negative at any point, EXCEPT for one slightly homophobic conversation a family was having at a dinner table behind us at Loveless Cafe in Nashville, but that has nothing to do with the restaurant itself.

Each property, restaurant and attraction deserves it’s own spotlight, which I eagerly anticipate.

In the meantime I will leave you with a good LAUGH! This may be the BEST video I ever take in my life.

Jennifer and I spotted this cutie while driving around Key West and it just so happened the song we had playing in our car matched perfectly with his activity.

I introduce you to “Mr. Cockles” – the dancing rooster from Key West! 😉 ENJOY!
