The Hotel Viking / One Bellevue Avenue / Newport, RI 02840 / 401-847-3300

Entering The Hotel Viking in Newport, RI is like stepping back in time to the Gilded Age.

This upscale, luxury hotel open in 1926 and underwent a 6.8 million dollar renovation in 2007.

It is a member of the prestigious Historic Hotels of America and part of Noble House Hotels.

The Hotel Viking offers classic decor with modern amenities in one of the most beautiful seaport towns in America – Newport, RI

My wife & I encountered nothing by friendly service from the moment we arrived until check-out.

Having valet service is such a bonus in Newport, especially on a frigid winter’s evening!

After a quick and easy check-in we headed to our premier guestroom.

GAY & LESBIAN FACTOR: Newport is extremely gay friendly (read THIS article by Passport Magazine). The Hotel Viking was extremely welcoming to Gay Travel Information and treated my wife and I wonderfully. There is something so romantic about this property, that I would put it in my top ten list of MOST ROMANTIC in New England for sure. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner I could think of no better place to take your significant other to. Enjoy luxurious accommodations, romantic dinner at One Bellevue, a couple massage and late night swim. Sounds good to me! 😉 I am wholeheartedly OUTING The Hotel Viking as LGBT friendly and worthy of our business.

Bravo all around!
